Dr. Latha Shankar is a specialist in infertility and High-Risk Pregnancy practicing in Sahakarnagar, Bengaluru, and has experience of 22 years in this field.

Dr. Latha Shankar received her medical degree from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore in 1994 and subsequently moved to pursue her post-graduation in obstetrics and gynecology from the iconic Government Medical College, Mysore in 1997.

Following Which She Completed her DNB Residency Training at St Martha’s Hospital, Bangalore 1998. To further enhance her skills in the field of High-Risk Obstetrics and Fetal Medicine, She Trained Under Dr. Gita Arjun at EV Kalyani Medical Centre, Chennai For a Period of 3 Years. She Has Also Received hands-on colposcopy Training at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology and Gynaec endoscopy training from Dr Paul’s Hospital, Cochin. Recently she also completed an Advanced Fertility Course at Momsoon Fertility Center, Bengaluru, and a Diploma in Reproductive Medicine from Kiel University, Germany.

During all these years she gained valuable experience which empowered her to help women dealing with various maladies they go through in their lifetime

Dr. Latha Shankar is a life member of various professional organizations like IMA, FOGSI, ICOG, Bangalore Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Indian Society of Reproductive Medicine, Uro Gynecological Society of India, Society for Fetal Medicine, Indian Menopause Society, and Indian Red Cross Society which helps her keep abreast of various developments in their respective fields

She speaks multiple languages including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi & English.

In her Obstetric practice, she shares a low-risk philosophy of reducing unnecessary Episiotomies, Induction of Labour, and Cesarean Sections. she actively encourages VBAC – Vaginal Birth After Cesarean

She volunteers for community-based health programs for the underprivileged Organization by Sarva Dharma Sai Arogya Kendra, Bengaluru, and other organizations that work for the underprivileged.
